How do you feel about inactive forum owners?

I have been on forums where their owners are a little bit too laid back with the way they run and manage their community. They barely do anything on the forum's homepage like commenting or creating new topics. There are times when they are offline for weeks without any update they are going to be away for a while.

How do you usually feel about these kind of forum owners and using their service?

A forum owner who is too laid back can be a major red flag. While a well-run community should be able to function without constant micromanagement, completely disappearing for weeks with no updates shows a lack of commitment.

Active and engaged owners set the tone for their community—when they contribute, moderate, and communicate, members feel more connected and motivated to participate. On the flip side, when an admin is missing in action, forums can become inactive, attract spam, or even fall apart due to lack of leadership.

At Forum-Promotion.NET, the Best Webmaster, Admin, & Internet Marketing Forum, we know that consistent engagement from staff is key to a thriving community. If a forum owner isn’t involved at all, it makes me question whether the site has a future.

How do you handle it when a forum you like has an absentee owner? Do you stick around or start looking for a more active community? ??
