In recent times it's been discussed by certain individuals that their site(s) have grown by acquiring the user accounts from a specific secondary site while that site is still in operation and without the consent of the users of that site. This is not a merger and is a breach of several data protection laws along with the terms of service and license agreement for XenForo itself. Site owners are charged with the protection of their users' data, and to so easily pass it off to another site...
